Listen to Tata’s New EP “Wild Fire”!

After releasing a string of singles including “Ndaleh” and “Banekeh” featuring Jovi, Tata releases his first EP Wild Fire. Rapping in English, Pidgin, and mostly in his dialect, Limbum, Tata gives his fans a rare treat. His smooth Limbum flow ebbs in and out of an almost hypnotic state between singing and rapping. From the first track, “Ndaleh”, Tata tells the audience in Limbum the stories of his roots and the deep connection to his Wimbum culture in Cameroon. In “Lunga”, Tata raps about the gods in Wimbum land, loosely translated to the gods of fire (Wild Fire). In the third song, “Mukulah” means the “true son of the Wimbum land.” Jovi features in his song “Banekeh”, as Tata cautions the listeners that while he has been absent, don’t think he hasn’t been learning.  Le Monstre produced the entire EP, bringing his signature Mboko sound to Tata’s die hard fans and new ones, with an intense minimalism that allows listeners to hear the nuances of the language in this five-song EP.
