Onesimus Ishaku Abishidon, known as “Ishaku,” was born on October 20, 1991 to a Nigerian mother and a Cameroonian father, in northern Nigeria. He started singing at the age of 13, and in 2010, he got an invite to open at the Kennis Music Easter Fiesta in Lagos, Nigeria. As the youngest kid from northern Nigeria, he got the opportunity to share the same stage with the legendary Tuface Idibia. His major influences have been Mario, West life, Craig David, Akon, R. Kelly and Joe. He looks up to great minds like Bruno Mars, John Legend, TY Dolla $ign, Akon, Jovi, Tubaba, Rihanna and Jay Z.

With a gift for songwriting, a silky smooth voice and broad range, he sings in English, Pidgin, French and Hausa, and infuses afrobeat with dancehall, Raggaeton, hip pop, Rnb and Mboko.
